Electrical Insulating Materials: Selection, Performance, and Traceability

Politubes carefully selects top-grade UL-certified technical films, validated through stringent in-house and third-party testing. Materials are chosen for their exceptional dielectric, thermal, chemical, and mechanical properties, ensuring full compliance with international standards and high-demand industry requirements.

Our multilayer constructions are engineered to combine the unique features of each individual film, delivering tailor-made solutions optimized to meet specific customer performance needs.

PFAS-Free Electrical Insulation – Broad Thermal Classes

All Politubes’ insulating tubes and caps are PFAS-free and manufactured to meet the following thermal insulation classes:

  • Class A – 105 °C
  • Class B – 130 °C
  • Class F – 155 °C
  • Class H – 180 °C
  • Class C – >400 °C

The materials feature dielectric strength ranging from 3 kV/mm to 300 kV/mm, compliant with ASTM D149, enabling high-voltage protection even under critical electrical stress.

Mechanical Behavior and Dimensional Stability

Depending on application requirements, Politubes utilizes:

  • Low-shrink AHS – 2LSO films (10–15%) for superior dimensional stability;
  • High-shrink HS films (up to 40%) for secure mechanical sealing and adaptive fit applications.

Certified Traceability System

All raw materials are tracked through a barcode-based traceability system, ensuring full visibility across the production chain. This system is certified according to UL TEOU2–TEOU8 (E350605) and ISO 9001:2015, supporting a transparent and auditable supply chain.
