EV BATTERIES PACKS AND CELLS INSULATING TUBES
Politubes manufactures a wide range of insulating tubes for batteries (cells and battery packs) used in electric motors across the automotive, energy, military, and aerospace sectors.
Our tubes are produced using spiral-winding technology, which eliminates film overlap in the closing area and ensures key advantages:
- space optimization and improved packing factor;
- enhanced safety within battery packs;
- reduced risk of heat peaks that typically occur in film overlap zones.
We only use high-quality raw materials supplied by world-leading manufacturers of electrical insulation.
Key benefits of our insulating tubes:
- Electrical insulation and prevention of short circuits;
- Thermal management and reduction of overheating;
- Prevention of thermal runaway in lithium-ion cells, improving safety and performance;
- Flame resistance and flame retardancy to limit fire propagation.
Our tubes are custom-designed and manufactured primarily using heat-shrinkable polyester (Mylar®, Hostaphan® 2MSO, 2LSO), Nomex® 818–864, Nomex/Mylar® combinations, Kapton® (polyimide), DyBond®, or other technical films carefully selected according to the customer’s specific requirements.
Mylar®, Nomex®, and Kapton® are registered trademarks of DuPont – DyBond® is a registered trademark of Coveme – Hostaphan® is a registered trademark of Mitsubishi.
RAW MATERIALS:
Mylar A • Mylar HS • Polyester Film Type AHS – 2LSO
